What is Self Defence and what will you learn?

Our seminars and personal training sessions are designed for people who do not wish to attend regular self defence classes. You will be guided through the Do's and Don'ts of avoiding a potentially violent confrontation and should the need arise you will taught the hit and run tactics needed to escape a situation safely. During training, you will be given plenty of time to assimilate the techniques and strategies needed.

What we teach is effective self defence based upon the reality of confrontation and physical violence. You will learn how not how not to communicate that you are an easy target or victim. We will show you how to develop the awareness skills that can get you out of trouble in the first place. You will learn how to deal with verbal aggression. We will teach you the reality of how the mind/body reacts in a potentially violent confrontation. You will then learn the body language and verbal skills needed to diffuse a situation or to take control if necessary in order to back off an aggressor.

In 90% of all situations the non physical skills and strategies we employ and teach will work but when all else fails that it is time to take immediate action. Instead of thinking of fear and the adrenalin rush it produces as your worst enemy, we will teach you how to use this emotive state to fight for you, by allowing them to supercharge you, giving you the speed and power necessary to fight your way out of a violent situation. It must be remembered that you are not going to fight unless you have tried everything you can to avoid it. If a situation does become physical, what is really going to save you is your spirit to survive. The spirit to survive is what self defence is all about and when you show an aggressor that you are willing to fight for your life the chances are your not going to have to fight at all. We will not teach you how to have a stand up fight with someone, the self defence the tactics we employ will teach you the hit and run techniques necessary to enable you to escape to a place of safety.
